Why do I have to send sales figures to the Bitkom office?
Your company has Bitkom membership and is therefore obliged, pursuant to § 4 Clause 2 of the Articles of Association, to submit to Bitkom the sales figures required for calculating the membership fee accurately and by the deadline.
What will happen if I cannot meet the deadline?
Please contact us in this case. If you do not provide us with the information required for calculating your membership fee by the deadline, we are entitled pursuant to Section III Item 2 of the Membership Fee Regulations to estimate the basis for assessment and to raise the fee according to the estimated basis. The estimation of the basis for assessment is binding, provided the member in question does not submit the completed calculation sheet by March 31 of the calendar year following the contribution year.
Why is the membership fee recalculated every year?
Decisive in the calculation of membership fees are the requirements set out in our Membership Fee Regulations, which were decided upon by the Bitkom general assembly based on the steering committee’s proposal (see § 6 of the Articles of Association). Section III Item 1 of the Membership Fee Regulations stipulates that the membership fee shall be collected annually.
When is the payment deadline?
The payment deadline for Bitkom membership fee is 14 days (see Section III Item 3 of the Membership Fee Regulations).
