The European Commission announced the Digital Fitness Check alongside the Digital Omnibus in November 2025. The initiative will examine how existing digital rules interact, analyse their cumulative impact on businesses, and identify where overlaps, inconsistencies, or unnecessary administrative burdens exist, offering an opportunity to go beyond the proposals of the Digital Omnibus.
Bitkom welcomes the review and the chance to contribute to the call for evidence. We urge the Commission to fully seize this opportunity to address remaining obstacles to growth and innovation.
