Bitkom position on the EU Quantum Act

The EU Quantum Act is a cornerstone initiative of the European Commission to implement the EU Quantum Strategy and create a policy framework for quantum technologies. Bitkom welcomes the initiative and outlines in its position paper the priorities of the digital industry: a coherent European roadmap, interoperable cloud infrastructures, targeted industrial scale-up investments, and balanced technology protection mechanisms.

Key recommendations include the establishment of a dedicated Joint Undertaking for quantum technologies, a user-oriented innovation framework, and public procurement as a market-shaping instrument.
