How Do Companies in Germany Use Cloud Computing? (2026)
Cloud computing is a central component of digitalisation for companies in Germany, for example in AI applications, databases and IT security. The Bitkom Cloud Report examines annually how extensively companies use cloud solutions, which applications will increasingly move to the cloud in the future and which strategic factors shape their cloud decisions. The focus is particularly on questions relating to cost development, resilience, IT security, provider selection and digital sovereignty. The results are based on a representative CATI survey of 603 companies across all industries in Germany with at least 20 employees, conducted by Bitkom Research.
