The trade in ICT products and services between Germany and Russia has exceeded the billion euros line several years ago. But there is still a huge potential for growth.
For this reason, BITKOM has selected Russia as a partner country for 2007. On the other hand, Germany became the partner country of the Russian association APKIT. Signing an agreement in October 2006, both associations strive to replace ad-hoc cooperation by strategic alliances.
The cooperation between both associations BITKOM and APKIT will be complemented by Deutsche Messe AG. The Russian Government was invited to participate in the CeBIT 2007 with a privileged status of a partner country. Based on the Russian government's decision, the Russian exposition will be ranked among the largest at CeBIT 2007.
BITKOM, APKIT and Deutsche Messe will organise 5 events at CeBIT 2007. The German-Russian IT Summit is expected to give ICT cooperation between companies of both countries a new impulse.
At the Summit, BITKOM and the magazine „Ost-West Contact“ will present their special on „German-Russia ICT cooperation“ (edition: 5.000 copies). This publication will also include the profiles of about 100 cooperation projects. BITKOM and APKIT invite German, Russian, and Belorussian companies and scientific organisations to contribute to this synopsis. The deadline is February 19.
Please participate in this survey with your projects!
The German-Russian CeBIT forums „Nearshoring Services“, „Security Technologies“, „Enterprise Solutions“, as well as „Russian IT-Parks – Investment Opportunities“ will offer a plenty of opportunities to find new partners for business.
The cooperation initiatives of BITKOM and APKIT are supported by the German and Russian governments. This political back up will help to overcome existing barriers in trade.
We kindly invite you to all German-Russian events at CeBIT and hope to welcome you in Hanover.
